I mentioned Metaplace earlier as something to watch .. well it's here, or almost. MetaPlace has launched MetaChat, an avatar-based chat program that has lots of rooms, a couple of footballs and the ability to toss paint bombs at each other!
You can move your avatars around, and see people's myspace profile by clicking on the little dot next to their names.
